About Hilltop Hampers

Hello, I’m Pedda, the founder of Hilltop Hampers.

Based in Ringwood North, Melbourne, I create thoughtfully curated gift hampers using products sourced from small businesses across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

For me, every hamper tells a story. It begins with the local makers behind each product, the reclaimed timber used to create our signature wooden gift boxes and the wonderful people who help bring everything together.

How Hilltop Hampers Began

The idea for Hilltop Hampers began during Melbourne’s lockdowns, when I saw firsthand how hard local businesses were working simply to keep their doors open.

I grew up surrounded by small businesses, so I understand the passion, long hours and determination that go into creating every product.

I wanted to build something that did more than sell beautiful gifts. I wanted to create a business that could shine a light on other local businesses and share their wonderful products with more people.

Today, every Hilltop Hamper is thoughtfully curated using products from small businesses across Melbourne and regional Victoria. This allows me to create meaningful gifts while supporting the makers who help make our local communities so special.

Every product in our hampers is sourced from a small business in Melbourne or regional Victoria. From gourmet food and sweet treats to beverages, homewares and self care products, each item is selected for its quality, presentation and local story.

Reclaimed Timber with a Story

All of our signature wooden gift boxes are handcrafted from reclaimed timber. We give discarded fence palings and wooden pallets a new purpose instead of allowing them to end up in landfill.

Depending on the project, our boxes may be handcrafted by local makers, community members earning additional income or through partnerships with organisations such as Imagine ReEvolution.

Through these partnerships, volunteers and young people can learn practical skills, build confidence and gain meaningful experience in a safe and supportive environment.

For me, sustainability is about more than recycling timber. It is also about creating opportunities, supporting local people and giving back to our community.

Every wooden gift box represents craftsmanship, second chances and what can be achieved when local businesses, community organisations and everyday people work together.

I believe the presentation should be just as thoughtful as the gift itself.

That is why you will never find cellophane wrapped around our hampers. Instead, I use rustic reclaimed timber gift boxes, recyclable mailing boxes and carefully selected products that work beautifully together.
